Vacuum brazed, diamond core bits

No pilot bit necessary. Use a low rpm rotary drill with a planetary gearbox. Do not use hammer setting.
  1. Fasten core bit to the chuck.
  2. Apply 45° angle whilst bit rotates on the border outline.
  3. Slowly motion the drill from 45° to 90° whilst bit is rotating until finished.

Important:

  • Slowest speed
  • Minimum pressure
  • Coolant
All diamond core bits should always be used with water as a lubricant and coolant. Being hollow, allows the water to flow up inside and around the inner core of these bits during drilling, helping to keep the core bit cool and removing debris.

The diamond core bits tool life will depend on many factors: speed, lubricant, pressure and the density of the material drilled. It is normal for a diamond core bit to last up to 10 or more drilled holes in hard tiles.

To gain maximum life from your drill bit and to prevent your material from cracking ensure you use little to no pressure, keep the speed on the slowest setting of your drill and always keep your material and drill bit cool with plenty of water.
